Laura is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Developmental Psychology from McMaster University, a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and additional graduate coursework in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) from the University of North Texas. Laura Campbell is currently a full time professor and First Year Coordinator in the Bachelor of Applied Arts in Behavioural Psychology program at St. Lawrence College. She has been teaching at the post-secondary level for over 8 years, both in-class and online.

Laura has over 14 years experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) working with clients in a wide range of community settings and has worked with multi-disciplinary teams locally, provincially and internationally. Most recently, she was the Program Manager in the Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) program for a Regional Autism Service Provider where she provided clinical leadership to a team of instructor therapists, as well as, representing the IBI program within the agency and among the regional and provincial network of services. In addition to teaching, Laura clinically supervises graduate students working in the community with a variety of populations who are pursuing certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Laura is a member of the Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysis (ONTABA) and the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).

Laura’s role as a Senior Therapist for Quinte Assessment and Treatment Group Autism Assessment and Therapy Services is creating and implementing Intensive Behavioural Interventions (IBI) programs under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist. Program goals are based on a thorough assessment of each child’s unique strengths and areas of need in conjunction with family goals. Along with program supervision, Laura provides training to the family and therapists to promote expertise and consistency in reaching client-focused goals.

Laura’s role as a Behavioural Consultant is conducting comprehensive functional behaviour assessments and creating positive behavioural support plans for individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours. In addition, Laura provides training and ongoing support to the families and staff who are supporting the individual.
