Mallory Suurd Registered Psychotherapist, B.A., B.Ed., M.A.C.P., RP, Psychotherapist 

Mallory Suurd obtained her Master’s of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University following the completion of a B.Ed at Trent University, and a B.A with Specialization in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. Mallory is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

Mallory’s work experience has taken place in both educational and agency settings and includes: working with issues around Communication, Depression, Anxiety, Family Breakdown, Grief/Loss, Childhood and Adolescent Development, Attachment, Relationship Struggles, Positive Coping Strategies, Stress Management, and Behaviour Management. Prior to working as a Psychotherapist, Mallory worked as an Occasional Teacher in the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board. Subsequently, Mallory has experience navigating Mental Health needs in the School System, and understanding how they can impact the academic success of a child or adolescent.

Mallory has worked extensively with Children, Adolescents, and families throughout her years as a Psychotherapist and has also had experience working with individual adults, and couples. In order to best work with her clients, Mallory employs the use of modalities such as: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma Therapy, and Play-Based Therapies to promote the discovery of personal skills, strengths, and ultimately promote recovery, healthy coping mechanisms, and self-efficacy.
